Speaking on the occasion, Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal said that an incentive scheme of Rs 10,683 crore has been approved to increase production and exports in the textile sector. He said that the states with textile industry will benefit greatly from this.

Minister Piyush Goyal also said that for the upcoming Rabi season, an increase in the purchase price of crops including wheat, barley, pulses and mustard has been approved.
Purchase of 56 transport aircraft
Meanwhile, the Union Cabinet of Defense Ministers has approved the purchase of 56 transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force. The minister said 16 of the 56 aircraft would be procured from Spain within the next four years.
40 aircraft will be manufactured by Tata in India
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, another 40 aircraft will be manufactured by Tata in India. The report said that this is the first time that an aircraft used by the military has been manufactured in India by a private company.
Boost domestic employment
Boost textile sector with 10,683 Cr. The Defense Ministry has said that production of defense equipment in the private sector will result in substantial foreign exchange savings for the country and boost domestic employment.

Will attract fresh investment
Boost textile sector with 10,683 Cr.: It is felt that promotion and Boost up of textile industry will lead to increase in employment. This initiative will attract fresh investment of more than Rs 19,000 crore, a cumulative turnover of over Rs 3 trillion, and create additional employment opportunities of more than 750,000 jobs in this sector.
