Purpose

Gifts, Favors, and Payments

  1. Provision of Gifts and Payments:
    • All gifts, favours, and payments provided by Asia Global Bank must align with accepted business practices.
    • They should be of nominal value and compliant with the law.
    • Such actions must not compromise our reputation if publicly disclosed.
  2. Prohibition on Uncontracted Payments:
    • Any payments, commissions, or compensation to associates of customers without a written contract are strictly against our company policy.

Receiving Gifts and Favors

  1. Restrictions:
    • Our associates must not solicit or accept gifts, favours, entertainment, or payments without a valid business purpose, particularly from entities conducting or seeking to conduct business with Asia Global Bank.
  2. Exceptions:
    • Common courtesies and gifts of small value are allowed under specific circumstances, but we maintain strict standards, especially concerning gifts from suppliers.

Conflicts of Interest

  • Associates should avoid situations where personal interests could conflict with those of Asia Global Bank. Any potential conflicts must be disclosed to a manager promptly.
  • This includes holding interests in external enterprises that do business with or compete against Asia Global Bank or serving in roles with competitors.

Confidential Information

  • The unauthorized disclosure or use of confidential information is prohibited. Violations will result in disciplinary actions, including termination of employment.

Compliance

  • Non-compliance with this policy will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
  • It is the responsibility of all associates to report any policy violations they become aware of.

Social Media Guidelines

  1. Responsible Posting:
    • Social media activity should reflect good judgment, as posts are public and lasting. Associates are personally responsible for their online content.
    • Any posts that refer to Asia Global Bank should be identified as personal opinions, not official statements.
  2. Professional Conduct:
    • Maintain professionalism in all communications. Avoid posting content that could be seen as offensive, threatening, or harassing.
    • Respect the privacy of others and ensure that all information shared is accurate and truthful.
  3. Legal Compliance:
    • Adhere to all legal and confidentiality requirements, including copyright and privacy laws. Do not disclose confidential company information without authorization.

Reporting Concerns

  • Associates should promptly report any concerns regarding potential policy violations to Human Resources. We protect whistleblowers from any form of retaliation.

Plagiarism and Fairness

  • Plagiarism is not tolerated. We are committed to fairness, ensuring that all parties involved in any story have the opportunity to respond adequately.
