Amazon Prime Membership Fee Hiked: Amazon has officially announced an increase in the subscription/membership fee for the Prime Video ODT site.

Amazon, a leading online retailer, is also a leader in India’s ODT platform, Amazon Prime Video. Amazon is implementing a Prime membership that combines these two services into a single service for its customers. By becoming a member of Amazon Prime membership, you will be able to buy Amazon products online and get OTD services earlier than other customers.

Through an Amazon Prime membership in bulk, you can access Amazon’s website and services such as mobile processors, Amazon Prime Video, and Amazon Prime Music. Amazon Prime Video has more subscribers than other OTD sites in India. The reason for this is its low price. However, Amazon is currently planning to increase the fees for Prime membership.

The monthly and quarterly fees are also increased for Prime Membership – which gives users access to Amazon Prime Video and one-day delivery of millions of items on the e-commerce platform.

Amazon Prime membership fee in India is around Rs 999 per year. At present there is a plan to increase it by Rs 500 to Rs 1499. Amazon, which shared the official price with the private news agency, said, “The new price of the annual Prime subscription has been increased to Rs 1,499, the new price of the monthly Prime subscription has been increased to Rs 129.

“Prime Membership price in India is adjusted from Rs 999 to Rs 1,499 (Annual plan), Rs 329 to Rs 459 (3 months plan), and Rs 129 to Rs 179 (Monthly plan),’ said a spokesperson Amazon.

Prime one-day delivery is available on millions of items, while Prime Video offers unlimited access to movies, TV shows and Amazon Originals in 10 languages, the spokesperson said.

In a statement, Amazon said, “Prime membership has been increasing the value its members receive in India since its inception five years ago.

Prime is serving its members with shopping, savings and entertainment every day. We are increasing our investment to make this service even more valuable to our members.”

Meanwhile, when Amazon Prime launched its subscription plan in India in 2016, the fee was increased from Rs 499 to Rs 999.
