Airlines closed Jet Airways Domestic flights: Domestic flights of Jet Airways, which have been closed for the last two and a half years due to financial constraints, are resuming from the beginning of the new year. The first flight of the reorganized company will start between Delhi and Mumbai, it was clarified on Monday.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) had in June approved a joint venture between Dubai-based industrialist Murarilal Jalan and Kalrock to revive Jet Airways. The company has since started the process of revalidating the existing Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for operating the airline.

Recruitment of 1,000 employees Jet has recruited around 150 employees for preliminary preparations and expects to recruit another 1,000 employees by the end of the financial year.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Captain Sudhir Gaur said that in view of the need to operate the airline, the staff would be recruited in a phased and rigorous basis based on quality.

He also clarified that talks are underway to lease narrow-sized aircraft globally for domestic flights. However, the company has not commented on the dues and dues of the previous employees. Jet’s headquarters will be shifted to Delhi-NCR.
